So with bated *breath* (・д・`*) I wondered if this could possibly be the very first Momusu single~ that I'm not very fond of? Hmm....so not the case so....um Henkka aka "Henttai" now (^-^*) you may still make fun of me being so easy to please and liking..."everything?"…(^q^)! I'm still waiting for their accompanying pv DVD single to arrive so for now there are at least two pv versions to enjoy in the meantime~ ^ ^!
So this is Kohachan's last single with Momusu (;´□`) and while I still long to hear more songs specifically written for graduating members as with "Never Forget" and "Koi no kioku", still this is a *wonderful* single to remember as Kohachan's last~. "Kimagure Princess" is no doubt a throwback song~ taking the listener way back to two most prominent singles...those being among Tsunku's most creative masterpieces I think...in both "Koi no dance site" as well as "Happy Summer Wedding."
Morning Musume's "Kimagure Princess" can be ordered here at Cdjapan.
Both Japanese & Korean versions of Morning Musume's "Kimagure Princess" can be ordered herer at YesAsia.
Morning Musume's "Kimagure Princess" can be ordered here at HMV Japan.
Admittedly at first after hearing of vocal manipulation and maybe possibly some oddness??....I was so expecting Tsunku to have penned a single among the likes of his most awesomely quirky ヽ(。´▽`。)ノ。"Chokotto Love♥!!"
Still one of the best strange songs that Tsunku has written to date~...the first time I listened to "Chokotto Love" I was like..E~h?! (・_・); but by my second listen I was is love♥ ………(゜∀゜)………。with this so fun song~! The pv is also quite priceless too~ so I've included the music video just below of my babbling here ↓↓↓。
(*sigh*) it was Sayaka's first and last single with Pucchimoni as she was soon to leave even Momusu (;´□`)。。。and it also marked about the central moment of Japan going from their most unique 3" CD single format to the conventional full sized disc for singles~. I say 'central' because I always found it quite interesting that Pucchimoni's "Chokotto Love" came in a full sized CD jewel case while the disc itself remained as a 3" sized disc~. Songs and Tsunku's imagination just doesn't get much more fun than this single♪♪~!!Quirky *perfection* o(*´∀`)o゛~♥。。。

Recently much of Momusu's LE's have included the now standard additional DVD~ leaving fans I'm sure wanting something just a little bit more out of the ordinary?....Here we'll receive the "Dance Shot Ver." of "Kimagure Princess"'s pv on LE type A, their "Close Up Ver." on LE type B (which is actually really mesmerizing!)....while the RE includes an application card for Momusu's release event which you need to be in Japan for~.
It's however LE type C which includes the most collectible extra♥!
It includes five two~sided alternate cover jacket sleeves with one for each individual member as well as an alternate group photo~!
Everyone has most steely looks in these solo covers~ with Aichan♥ being the most capable of seducing the camera~! I've included complete scans of each extra jacket sleeve just below...

When I was a kid I remember liking Born in the USA. I never really considered myself a Springsteen fan, but that was a huge song in the early 80's. Fast forward to the 90's and I remember watching him getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I was more excited to see Max Weinburg since I had become a fan of him on the Conan O'Brien show. Boy was I ever disappointed. I don't even remember what they played (probably Born in the USA) but damn, that song went on for.ev.er. I started to realize that all the Boss really ever had were a couple of really catchy riffs, sexeh charisma and twenty musicians who only knew the basics. I mean seriously, maybe it's only because I've only had exposure to the singles and the popular tunes, but I can't recall any stand-out musicianship in any of his stuff.
Regardless of that, I can't help but still like a few of his tunes. They're catchy, what can I say?
Ha - at the end of Dancing in the Dark the crowd is going nuts doing that oh-ay-oh-ay-oh-ay-oh-ay thing. They do that at a fuck ton of Maiden shows too. I seem to recall finding out it was a soccer thing.

Opening up for Har Mar Superstar are three very different genre and acts. Starting with Koo Koo Kangeroo (official / myspace), whose music styling is that of hip hop - for toddlers. Their songs are dead simple, like "AOA" (sample lyrics: "aye oh aye oh aye") and "Cheh Cheh Chi" and "LMNOP", but they're catchy and easy to sing along. The highlight of their set was when they threw down a white tarp-like covering and the audience was dancing under it like a party fort.
Wow, Bang Bang Eche (myspace) are young. Someone told me that they're about 18 years old, but they certainly look much younger. Their music is very punk high-energy and reminds me a bit of Arctic Monkeys influenced. My easily favorite song from their set is "Fist Full of Dollars", perhaps a reference to Sergio Leone classic film? They ended their setlist with "Die Hippy Scum". Oh, also, it's worth noting that bassist T'Nealle sported a three keyboard cat moon t-shirt. Adorable.
The odd group on the bill was two-person group, Lookbook (myspace). The band is basically guitarist Grant Cutler, who plays guitars and handles the pre-recordings, with vocalist Maggie Morrison. Their music sounds like 80s pop, not exactly the "body-moving" type of music that you'd think Har Mar's audience would demand. Not really much to say, except I think Maggie looks really cute and I will be talking about them in further detail on my "book"-theme news on Sunday.

Har Mar Superstar ♥ Varsity Theater, Minneapolis (11/06/09) |
After the first song, he took off his hat. After "DUI", he took off the overall to reveal a Prince "Purple Rain" shirt. He kept taking off articles of clothing as the night went on. From "EZ Pass", to "Girls Only", to "Creative Juices"... the audience was loving it all.

Har Mar and Melinda Park singing "Powerline"
|
The very last song, Har Mar sang an a cappella version of Boyz II Men's "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday". He would pretend the song ended and everyone would clap... only he would continue to sing the refrain. After the third false ending and after he said "goodnight", he came back and sang some more.
Har Mar's latest album is Dark Touches, available from Dilettante Recordings. Read Andrew's review of the album, pick up a copy at amazon

I know this is old news on the Internet but in case you missed it, a few guys are traveled across the country in a Delorean and an Ghostbusters truck.
I was disappointed that I didn't see a flux capacitor or flames on the highway.
This Is Just EXCELLENT!!!!!
:-)
I've posted about my love for Rooster Teeth before. [The DVD featuring all of their recently released short films is now available, or you can watch them all for free on their site.]
The dudes over at RT make a variety of videos including the Achievement Hunter series. I'm not a big gamer on new systems, but apparently in X-Box games you can seek out various achievements which give you a great amount of personal satisfaction and some gaming cred. The Achievement Hunter video series documents how to gain some of these achievements.
Now normally I don't watch these videos because it's not my bag, but this one cracked me up to no end. It's really short and worth a watch if you love cute animals. Also, it's not safe for work, or children (yay!).
I had not heard of Fairytale Fights before today but after watching this video I'm dying to play it.

Brazos (official / myspace)
warmed up the crowd around nine. What I liked about them is that they
have a lot of lyrics in their song. The highlight of their set is the
Adrienne Rich poem turned into song. I didn't recall the title, but I'm
sure it had "Africa" in the lyrics.
Brazos ♥ 400 Bar, Minneapolis (11/04/09)
Personally, I thought the best song on their setlist is "Feeding Frenzy", featuring these lyrics "We're interlocking, we're interlocking. It's a bitter conflict, this staring contest."
In contrast to the lyrics-thing, White Denim
are more like crazy pyschedelic, garagey, experimental rock 'n roll -
with minimal lyrics. Whatever singer James Petralli spouted out, it
didn't matter because you were so in awe of his amazing guitar-playing
ability. You can just tell the guy is a rock god, the way his fingers
frantically moved up and down the neck of the guitar.
White Denim ♥ 400 Bar, Minneapolis (11/04/09)
I reckon these Austin lads don't care so much to slow down or
stop, so all their songs are medleys - one song flow into the next, and
pretty soon about six songs have passed before they have to take a
breather.
If you like your music loud, loud, and loud, White Denim is the band for you. Be sure to bring earplugs.
White Denim's latest album is called Fits and is available now at their record label, Downtown Music, or amazon.

Co-worker S and I ventured out for early morning coffee shortly after the work day began on Tuesday. We cut through the parking lot of the office to get to the bakery, it's only a two minute walk for primo coffee. I was a zombie that morning and not feeling very chipper yet. I was sipping my brain juice as S was telling me about something when I first caught site of the horror.
When I first took this job, I mentioned the pay-by-the-hour motel out behind the office. It's also the place where the old farts were sitting when I was sexually harassed on my first day of work. It's a really run-down place and masses of losers hang out in front of it during the day. I'm glad the police patrol the block in the evening because I hate walking by it to get to my car now that it's dark at 5. I recently got an office upgrade so no longer have to look at this monstrosity from my window, but S and I had to walk by the back side of the building when returning from the bakery.
Not quite awake yet, something at the top of the fire escape caught my eye. I noticed the door on the third floor was opening and a head popped out. In fact, it was a head and shoulders that looked quite a bit like Cranky's scary bear of a classmate. A look of terror crossed my face and I made a noise that sounded like, "oooeeegaaauuuh" as I caught site of the dude's bare ass as he turned to go back in the motel. Had I been in my old office and peering out the window at that exact moment I would have seen far worse than bare ass. Thank dog for small favors.
